Yoga
Classes
If you are new to Yoga or mastering your own practice,
let us guide you in this mind/body journey of awareness,
strength, and flexibility. Elevate your concentration,
stamina, vitality, and energy.
Beginners
to Intermediate Yoga
These classes are open to all who wish to learn Yoga
basics and refine their practice. Classes are open
to all levels, beginning to advanced. We will practice
Yoga breath (pranayama), dynamic postures (asanas),
and the flow of breath (vinyasa). Through the practice
of integrating breath and refining postures, participants
will increase flexibility, strength, balance and feel
relaxed and restored. This class meets in the Esic
Center Multi-Purpose Room.

Pilates
Classes
Joseph Pilates developed a series of exercises
over 30 years ago that focus on the "powerhouse"
of the body. This is a unique system of stretching
and strengthening exercises that will tone muscles,
improve posture, provide balance, and unite body and
mind.
Beginning/Intermediate
Pilates Mat Instruction
Improve your core body strength, flexibility coordination
and balance with the YMCA's Pilates mat instruction
classes. Two classes are offered during the week for
your convenience. These classes cater to those beginning
their practice of Pilates as well as mastering the
Pilates exercises. This class meets in the Esic
Center Multipurpose Room.

NIA
NIA is an expressive Body-Mind movement and lifestyle
practice which integrates fitness and health and creatively
blends movements, concepts and philosophies from both
Eastern and Western traditions. Nia integrates the
energies of three Dance Arts: Jazz, Duncan Dance and
Modern Dance, with elements of the Healing Arts: Yoga,
the work of Moshe Feldenkreis and the Alexander Technique
and the Martial Arts of Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and Aikido.
NIA
NIA is entered for all ages and all fitness levels.
It is a a fun alternative to traditional forms of
exercise. The class includes innovative music and
encourages everyone to move in their own body's way.
Classes are guided by certified NIA teachers. This
class meets in the Esic Center Multi-Purpose Room.
