St. Mary's Recycling

Join the St. Mary's Recycling Team by recycling the following and taking the recyling pledge by clicking on the link below:

America Recycles Day Pledge

  • newspaper, magazines, junk mail
  • eyeglasses
  • milk jug lids (recycle milk jugs at home)
  • soda tabs
  • ink jet and laser cartridges

St. Mary's church receives money from the paper recycling bins.

The eyeglasses are donated to the local Lion's Club.

Once milk jug lids are turned into school to signify that the milk jug was recycled at home, the school is eligible to receive a bench or table made from recycled plastic. We currently have 4,500 lids.  Only 2,500 more to go to have 7,000 and enough to earn a picnic table.

Soda tabs are weighed in during the spring, and a check is issued for a designated charity.  We previously donated to the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis.

Inkjet and laser cartridges are turned in for cash which will be used to help support our recycling team.  This may be used to support Earth Day activities or additional supplies needed for further recycling.
