Open the Door to Discovery
Deciding where to begin a formal learning journey is a personal and significant decision for you and your child. We all want the right combination of skills taught in a safe and secure environment.
At St. Mary's, we teach the all important pre-reading and pre-math skills and a whole lot more. There's plenty of time for art, music, computers, dramatic play and learning how to play with friends!
Our staff is state certified and trained in early childhood education. Aware of where your child is now, teachers guide him or her to the next stage of development. Our primary job is to open the door to discovery at the right place and time, for your child. It's a job filled with joy!

Programs
We offer a 3-year-old half-day program with both morning and afternoon classes available and several pre-Kindergarten options...
3-Year-Old 1/2-day Preschool Program
- 3 hours, Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Mornings and afternoons available
4-Year-Old 1/2-day Pre-Kindergarten Program
- 3 hours, Monday, Wednesday & Friday
- Mornings and afternoons available
4-Year-Old Full-Day Pre-Kindergarten Program
The Skills We Teach
We're all about letters and numbers, as well as art, music, computers, dramatic play and a little cooking, too! We present opportunities to work on these skills:
- Social
- Emotional
- Perceptual
- Fine motor
- Gross motor
Learning happens in small groups, one-on-one with teacher, and whole group settings. Center play and theme play allow the child to hear it, see it, say it, and touch it!
Children continue to develop their skills, adding more pre-reading and pre-math tasks until they arrive at the Pre-Kindergarten program ready to experience a classroom curriculum and focus primarily on:
- Pre-reading skills
- Pre-math skills
- Pencil-to-paper tasks
Kindergarten is only a few steps away!
Religion
In all of our programs, children learn about God and the Holy Family through readings and celebrations. God's love for us shines on all that we do!
Facilities
- The Preschool is located in a wing used exclusively for Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade. Drinking fountains, bathrooms - everything is geared for little people in this wing!
- Preschoolers love their time in our huge gymnasium and enjoy outdoor play in the enclosed Preschool yard/playground.
- St. Mary's School is secured at all times. Visitors are viewed on security cameras before entry is allowed.
