Discovery Series - Training You to Train Your Dog
(Sunday: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm)

The last session of Maryville Parks and Rec. 3rd Annual Discovery Series will be, “Training You to Train Your Dog”. The session will be held on, Sunday, February 28 at Cindy’s Critter Camp. 2330 S. Center (Rt. 159) from 1:00 to 3:00.
John Dahman, a certified Master Dog Trainer, will help you with the basics of training yourself to help train your new or older dog. John has in-field experience since 1992. He is a top rated tracker and tracking instructor. John has training knowledge and experience in national obedience trials through utility and agility class as well as training dual purpose police K-9 dogs.
John will give participants ideas and instructions on how to get your canine family member to respond to your wishes. Please do not bring your family pet—this session is for humans only!
Space is limited so reservations are needed. Please call Sharon at 345-1837 before 5:00 pm on Friday February 19th to secure your spot. In case of inclement weather, please call to verify that the session will be held.

Help Hope Animal Rescue raise much needed funds while at the same time having fun and winning Longaberger baskets.
Hope is holding a Longaberger Basket Game Sunday 2-28 from 2pm to 5pm at the Edwardsville Moose Lodge 7371 Marine Road.
$20.00 for 20 games with a basket awarded to the winner of each game.
No RSVP needed, just come out and enjoy yourself.

The community will find budget-friendly deals on children’s and maternity items at the Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon’s annual Kidmania community garage sale event on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The event will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. – Noon and will be held at the Edwardsville High School located in Edwardsville, Illinois. Admission is $3.00 per person and children six and under are free. VIP tickets will be available for early shopping before the general public. Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance or $15 at the door to the first 75 people. You can get more information or purchase the VIP tickets by emailing juniorserviceclub@gmail.com
“Attendees will be excited to find a variety of children’s clothing, books, toys and furniture. There are also plenty of items for expectant mothers,” states Shannon McMillian, event co-chair. “This is a great opportunity to purchase gently used items at affordable prices and is the ideal all-in-one garage sale event for those on a budget.” The Club is currently accepting applications for vendors, which may be found online at www.edwardsvilleonline.com/jsc. Vendor space is limited and available on a first-come, first served basis. Those expecting a prime spot should return their application as soon as possible. Vendor space is $40.00 and includes two six-foot tables and two chairs. Vendor set-up begins at 5:30 a.m. on the morning of March 6th. All sellers must vacate their space, including all remaining items by 1:00 p.m. and keep 100% of the profit made at the event. Partners 4 Pets Animal Rescue is hosting a St Patty’s themed Trivia Night fundraiser!!!
The Event takes place Saturday, March 6th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
at the Fairmount Park Banquet Hall: 301 Collinsville Road, Collinsville, IL 62234
Teams are 10 people. Tickets are $25 per person which includes a full buffet dinner: Your choice of a variety of meat dishes, a variety of veggie dishes, rolls, salad, dessert, soda, tea and coffee. The buffet will be open until 8 p.m.
Trivia will begin at 7 p.m. Awesome prizes for winning Trivia Team and for the Team with the best table theme!
