Discovery Series - Genealogy

The second session of Maryville Parks and Recreation’s Discovery Sundays will be February 21 on “Beginning Genealogy”. Shirley Trekell President of the Troy Genealogical Society and Reba Mathis, Treasurer of the group, will present the session at Maryville Senior Center, 500 E. Division from 1:00-3:00 PM.
The session will help beginners who are just starting their family search. However, veteran researchers are also encouraged to attend and pick up some new ideas or resources. Mrs. Trekell and Mrs. Mathis are experienced genealogists who will be able to answer many of your research questions. Participants will receive a number of handouts and lots of ideas on how to develop their family tree.
Reservations are requested. Please contact Sharon at 345-1837, Judy at 288-9232, or Curt at 407-6549 before 5:00 pm on Friday, Feb. 19. In case of inclement weather, please call to check on the session.
